Bird Flu Deaths Up, You Didn't Hear About It

Bloomberg.com [is reporting today] that with the death of three family members in Egypt the number of worldwide deaths from avian flu, more commonly called bird flu, this year alone is greater than the previous three years combined.

Previous years of coverage on this issue featured quite the media storm, complete with "are you at risk?" scare stories about street pigeons on the local news. This year, not so much.
