BLANK CHECK SCAM

A woman was bilked out of $14,000 from her checking account. On Dec. 8, the 44-year-old victim told police that during October and November, someone had stolen her blank checks and filled out several checks for large sums of money to â??CASH. She told police that the only people with access to her East 72nd Street apartment were two housekeepers. Police said that she did not want to press charges.
