Bonds Inches Closer to Aaron

Barry Bonds blasted [No. 752 and No. 753] at Wrigley this afternoon, bringing him within two home runs of Hank Aaron’s immortal record. The Bay Area Bomber led off the second inning with a solo blast over the ivy, giving his team a 1-0 lead over the Chicago Cubs. Later, in the seventh inning, he hit another shot, this time a three-run homer. Unfortunately for Barry, San Fran has surrendered nine runs, so the Giants still trail 9-8 despite his super-human (and possibly super-juiced) efforts.
