CBS Too Busy Laughing To Censor Don?

It seems the horse isn’t quite dead yet, as Don Imus’ lawyer proclaimed today that the former shock jock’s [bosses could have edited out the comments] that got him fired, and that their failure to do so indicates their acceptance of his remarks as typical of his show. On “Good Morning America,” Martin Garbus pointed out that CBS Radio and MSNBC had delay buttons, but didn't use them: “That means CBS and MSNBC both knew the language that was going out, and both knew [the language complied](http://www.1010wins.com/pages/418895.php?contentType=4&contentId=468487) with (Imus’) contract ... It was consistent with many of the things he had done.” Hmmm, the Don’s apology doesn't seem so genuine now. Something about I’m despicable but I [still deserve to be paid](http://nypress.com/blogx/display_blog.cfm?bid=62369649) for it just doesn’t ring true. We look forward to the upcoming press conference during which the network bigwigs issue their apologies and perhaps even offer to go into rehab.
