COLLEGE PRESIDENT HONORED

Hunter College president Jennifer Raab will be honored by the League of Women Voters" New York City chapter at the organization"s annual award luncheon, April 29. Raab, who has served as Hunter"s president since June 2001, is being recognized for her advocacy of higher education. The league highlighted Raab"s â??successful effort to raise standards across all aspects of Hunter missions, including increasing the faculty, recruiting distinguished professors and initiating the first capital campaign in Hunter"s history, according to a statement.
