Man wanted for Starbucks theftA Starbucks employee told police that a man made off with multiple bags of coffee from the Starbucks at 177 Eighth Avenue on Sunday, October 15, at 1:06 p.m. Police said that the man walked into the store, took eight bags of coffee off the shelf, valued at $112, and left without paying.
Man arrested on assault chargesPolice arrested a 24-year-old man for assault inside the PHD Dream Hotel at 355 West 16th Street on Friday, October 13, at 2:40 a.m. Police said that the suspect punched the 43-year-old bouncer in the face while he was working inside the club at the hotel, causing swelling and cuts on his lips.
Drug arrests Police arrested two men for a drug deal in front of 548 West 28th Street on Saturday, October 14, at 4:10 a.m. Police said that a 23-year-old man was seen selling a controlled substance to a 55-year-old man on the sidewalk. As officers approached, the younger man reportedly threw the drugs to the ground in an attempt to destroy the evidence, but when he was searched, police found that he was in possession of additional drugs, as well as a gravity knife. The suspected dealer was reportedly on the sidewalk telling passersby that he had “weed, molly and coke.”
Man arrested for trespassing Police arrested a 48-year-old man for criminal trespass inside 420 West 26th Street on Saturday, October 14, at 6:15 p.m. Police said that the suspect was seen on the roof of Chelsea Houses, a NYCHA building, without permission. The building has signs in the lobby and on the door leading to the roof that trespassing is not allowed on the roof. Police said that the suspect also isn’t a resident of the building.
Harassment leads to charges Police arrested a 28-year-old man for harassing a co-worker at the juice bar inside Google’s office at 111 Eighth Avenue on Friday, October 13, at 2:10 p.m. The 21-year-old victim who works at the juice bar told police that she was at her station when the suspect threatened her, saying, “If you were a man, I’d handle you myself.”
