Woman spit onA 32-year-old woman reported that she was harassed by a man on the 1 train while at the 7th Avenue/West 23rd Street station Thursday, April 13, at 3 p.m. She told police that she was sitting on the train when an unknown man spit in her face then fled the station.
Man arrested for assaultPolice arrested a 31-year-old man for assaulting a 7-Eleven employee inside the store at 368 Eighth Ave. Saturday, April, 15, at 3:35 a.m. Police said that the suspect entered the store through a back door designated for employees only and when an employee told him to leave, he reportedly refused. The victim said that the suspect then punched and scratched him on the arms, cutting and bruising him.
Woman arrested for hitting parked car Police arrested a 35-year-old woman for hitting a parked car while impaired on West 41st Street between 10th and 11th Avenue Saturday, April 15, at 4 p.m. The suspect told police that she was driving home from a methadone clinic when she hit the parked vehicle, and she said that she had just used methadone and had also injected Xanax. She reportedly told police, “I probably shouldn’t have taken the Xanax with the methadone.”
Man arrested for assault Police arrested a 20-year-old man for assault inside the Highline Ballroom at 437 West 16th St. Sunday, April 16, at 2:45 a.m. The victim and the suspect got into an argument inside the club, and the suspect punched the victim in the face, causing redness and pain to his left eye.
Trespass arrestsPolice arrested a man and a woman, both 21, for criminal trespassing inside the Amtrak Railroad Yard at West 38th Street between 10th and 11th Avenues Saturday, April 15, at 12:15 a.m. Police said that the pair went inside the railroad yard without permission, ignoring signs that said “no trespassing.” The man who was arrested was also found to be in possession of K2.
Phone stolen A 72-year-old man reported that his phone was stolen in the restroom inside the Hudson Guild at 441 West 26th Street on Friday, April 7, around 12:30 p.m. He told police that he went to use the first floor bathroom and forgot his phone there. When he went back to retrieve the phone, he saw that it was missing. Staff at the Hudson Guild called his phone twice on his behalf and an unknown person answered but then hung up. He reported the incident April 14.
Car hits Cyclist A 47-year-old cyclist reported that he was hit by a car at the southeast corner of 10th Avenue and West 29th Street Thursday, April 20, at 5 p.m. The victim told police that he was riding his bike west on West 29th Street when a car merged into the bike lane and hit his bike, causing him to fall off the bike and give him minor hip pain. He also told police that the driver was very aggressive and irate, and he fled before police arrived at the scene.
