Gillette GetOne shoplifter apparently believed in the value of a close shave. At 10 a.m. on July 24, a 20-year-old man walked into the Duane Reade store at 4 Amsterdam Avenue and made off with $1,600 worth of Gillette razors and blades.

Bimmer SkimmerMotorcycles appear to be on thieves’ shopping lists this summer. At 8 a.m. on July 25, a 47-year-old man parked his BMW motorcycle outside 160 West 73rd Street. When he returned, the German juggernaut was nowhere to be found. It is valued at $25,000.

Loews BlowAt 10 p.m. on July 28, a 27-year-old woman laid her bag on the seat next to her in the Loews Theater at 1998 Broadway. She later discovered that her wallet was missing from the bag, and she was out $100 cash.

The Sweet Smell of TransgressA shoplifter’s misdeeds left a bad smell at a local boutique. At 10 a.m. on July 30, a man entered the L’Occitane store at 2159 Broadway and made off with thirty-five fragrances valued at $2,000.

Circuit HoardAt 11:45 a.m. on Monday, July 25, a man parked his car outside 10 West 66th Street. When he returned to his vehicle sometime later, he found that someone had broken in and stolen the electronic equipment stowed inside, valued at $16,000.
