worker hit by car on West 28thA 41-year-old construction worker told police he was hit by a car in front of 520 West 28th St. Friday, Oct. 23 at 8 a.m. He told police that he was directing traffic by holding a flag and motioning for drivers to stop. When signaling for a stop, one of the drivers refused and went through the flag, hitting the construction worker in the left elbow. The driver then fled the scene without leaving any information. No arrests have been made.

Woman hit by car on Ninth AvenueA 23-year-old woman reported that she was hit by a car at the northeast corner of West 28th Street and Ninth Avenue Saturday, Oct. 24 at 2:40 a.m. The victim told police that she was crossing Ninth Avenue when she was struck by a black Suburban heading uptown. The driver fled the scene after hitting her.

Man laughs after running over senior’s footA 74-year-old man reported that his foot was run over by a car at the northeast corner of Ninth Avenue and West 21st Street Saturday, Oct. 23 at 10 a.m. He told police that an unknown driver ran his foot over with his car. He said that the driver stopped, laughed and left the scene of the accident. The victim refused medical attention at the scene and no arrests have been made.

Man assaulted by strangersA 31-year-old man told police that he was assaulted by three strangers inside the Chelsea Square Restaurant at 368 West 23rd St. early Sunday morning. He told police that he was crossing West 23rd Street at Ninth Avenue and got into an argument with a man who was driving at the intersection. He went to the restaurant, which was nearby, and an unknown man followed him inside. He told police that one man then restrained him while two other men punched him in the face. The victim told police that he suffered a small cut on his face, as well as pain and bruising. A canvass was conducted but no arrests have been made.

Woman assaulted on Eighth AvenueA 53-year-year-old woman reported that she was assaulted outside 345 Eighth Avenue Saturday, Oct. 24 at 10:20 a.m. She told police that she was walking from her building on Eighth Avenue to the sidewalk when a person she didn’t know who was wearing all black punched her in the face, causing substantial pain and swelling. She said that the suspect fled south on Eighth Avenue towards West 26th Street. The victim was removed to Lenox Hill Health Plex. No arrests have been made.

Man arrested for drunk driving on West 27thPolice arrested a 32-year-old man for intoxicated driving in front of 544 West 27th St. Sunday at 4:55 p.m. The man was involved in a motor vehicle accident and a witness confirmed to police that the suspect was driving one of the cars in the collision. The suspect admitted to operating the vehicle and police found that he had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, watery eyes, slurred speech and swayed balance. Police said that he was brought to the Seventh Precinct, where he blew a 0.107 on a Breathalyzer.

Theft from tour bus in front of Highline BallroomA 29-year-old musician reported that his property was stolen from his charter bus while it was parked in front of the Highline Ballroom at 431 West 16th St. Friday, Oct. 23 at some time between 10:30 and 11:15 p.m. He told police that he was performing at the venue and when he finished, he returned to the bus and discovered that a number of his items had been removed, including a MacBook Pro, an iPhone 6, a Nintendo 3DS, a memory card, an iPod, an external hard drive and a scarf, the total value of which was about $4,450. He said that he had left the bus unlocked when the items were stolen.
