3-CARD MONTE DEALER arrested Police arrested a 57-year-old man for fraudulent accosting in front of 357 West 16th St. Oct. 2 at 1:15 a.m. Police said that the man was obstructing pedestrian traffic on the sidewalk while conducting a game of three-card monte. Police said that he was also in possession of a quantity of a controlled substance as well as a crack pipe.
VODKA Theft An employee of the Chelsea Wine Cellar at 200 West 21st St. reported a theft at the store Sept. 29 at 7:20 p.m. The employee told police that a group of people entered the store and one of them grabbed two bottles of Ciroc Vodka, then fled west on West 21st Street. Camera footage at the store shows the man taking the bottles, which police said were valued at $98.
Chelsea gallery threatened An employee at a gallery on West 25th Street between 10th and 11th Avenues reported that someone sent threatening emails to her gallery’s main email address. She said that the emailed contained threatening messages that made her fearful for her life and well-being. The messages were sent from an unknown email address but this is the second complaint about threatening messages from the gallery. No further information was available about the nature of the threats.
Phone stolen A 16-year-old student of the High School of Fashion Industries at 225 West 24th Street reported that her phone was stolen from her bag Sept. 30. She told police that she left her phone in her bag in the cafeteria when she went to the bathroom around 2:47 p.m. and that it was missing when she was on her way out of the building. She said that she tried tracing the phone through the Find My iPhone app but was unable to track it.
trespassing arrest Police arrested a 49-year-old man for criminal trespassing inside 450 West 27th Drive Oct. 1 at 10:45 a.m. Police said that the man was inside the NYCHA building without permission to be there, and there were signs posted stating “no trespassing.”
Man busted for cocaine Police arrested a 36-year-old man for criminal possession of a controlled substance opposite 508 West 26th St. Oct. 1 at 1:05 a.m. Police said that the man was in possession of a clear plastic bag containing cocaine.
