Popcorn dispute leads to assaultA 27-year-old man reported that a bouncer assaulted him inside The Lately nightclub at 357 West 16th St. after an argument about popcorn last Thursday at 10 p.m. The victim told police that he and the bouncer got into a fight about popcorn during which the bouncer punched the victim in the chest, then dragged him out of the club by wrapping his arm around the victim’s body, bruising his right shoulder.

Car mirrors stolenTwo people reported that their car mirrors were stolen in the last week.

A 39-year-old man reported that his car mirrors were stolen while his car was parked in front of 262 West 22nd St. He told police that he noticed Monday, June 12 at 8 p.m. that both mirrors were missing. No other damage was visible on the car.

A 58-year-old man reported that his car mirrors were stolen while he was parked in front of 262 West 24th St. between 12:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. Wednesday, June 14. He told police that he parked in front of his girlfriend’s house at 12:30 a.m. and went to sleep and when he went down to his car, he noticed that both mirrors were missing.

Glasses stolen at car showA 48-year-old man reported that his sunglasses were stolen sometime between 7 and 7:45 p.m. while he was at the Tesla showroom at 511 West 25th St. Thursday, June 15. He told police that he sat inside one of the cars and took off his glasses, setting them down inside the car. He left the car and didn’t realize until later that he forgot his glasses but when he went to find them, they were no longer inside the car. He told police that the glasses were valued at $500.

Drunk driving arrestPolice arrested a 52-year-old man for drunk driving Saturday, June 17, at 8 p.m. at the southwest corner of Seventh Avenue and West 20th Street. Police said that the suspect was stopped after he was involved in a car accident and when he got out of the vehicle, he was unsteady on his feet and had bloodshot, watery eyes. Police said that a Breathalyzer test resulted in a .191 BAC.
