Banana PeelArea shoplifters have been on a tear in February. Around noon on Feb. 23, a 30-year-old man entered the Banana Republic store at 1976 Broadway and made off with $1,100 worth of clothing.

Apple HarvestiPhones remain a popular item. Around 2 p.m. on Feb. 16, a woman went into the Apple Store at 1981 Broadway and made off with $5,300 worth of the mobile phones.

Cap and GoneLower impulses were at work in the halls of higher education. At 4 p.m. on Feb. 17, a 20-year-old woman left her laptop and iPad unattended in a Fordham University classroom at 113 W. 60th Street. When she returned, her gizmos were gone. They were valued at $1,649.

Made Off with Make UpOne thief must have a lot of girlfriends. At 3 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, a man entered the CVS store at 200 West End Avenue and removed lipstick, nail polish, and mascara valued at $1,300.

PradatorA local eyewear store suffered another raid on their shades. At 4 p.m. on Feb. 15, a man stole four pairs of Prada sunglasses valued at $1,200 from the Sunglass Hut located at 2218 Broadway.
