Pair busted for drugs Police arrested a 44-year-old man and 54-year-old woman for criminal possession of a controlled substance after they were found trespassing inside a NYCHA building at 426 West 27th Drive early on Nov. 18. Police said that the pair were inside the building without permission and neither suspect was a resident or the guest of a resident. Both were found to be in possession of a controlled substance when they were searched after their arrest about 2:30 a.m.

Pot arrestPolice arrested a 19-year-old woman for criminal possession of marijuana at the southwest corner of Seventh Avenue and West 28th Street Nov. 17. Police said that the woman was seen smoking a joint on the sidewalk shortly after 2 p.m. and she reportedly told officers that she was smoking weed. She was also reportedly in possession of a metal grinder with marijuana residue and another joint.

Woman stiffs cabbieAn 82-year-old cab driver reported that a woman skipped out on her cab fare in front of 23 12th Ave. about 7:40 p.m. on Nov. 17. The driver told police that he brought the woman to the 12th Avenue address and that she then she refused to pay the fare. He said that he told her they could go to the police if she insisted on not paying, but when he was stopped at a red light, she jumped out of the car and fled.

pickpocketed at movie theaterA woman reported that she was pickpocketed while watching a movie inside the Cinepolis on 23rd Street between 6 and 9:40 p.m. Nov. 20 She told police that she placed her bag on the ground during the movie and that when it concluded, $96 in cash and the SIM card from her phone were missing.

Woman vomits on cab, fleesA cab driver reported that a woman damaged his taxi and fled the scene after he dropped her off in front of 406 West 31st Street early on Nov. 11. The driver said that the woman intentionally caused damage to his cab’s door by vomiting on it. The suspect, who the driver picked up in Brooklyn and drove to West 31st Street, reportedly paid the cab fare but refused to pay the $50 for the damage.

Package pilfered A 76-year-old woman reported that a package was stolen from her mailbox at her building on West 21st Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues Nov. 16. She told police that she was expecting a package and when she went to check for it, she found a box with her name on it that was ripped open and the contents removed. She said that the items included a $180 pair of sweatpants and a foot compression sock.

drunk driving arrestPolice arrested a 45-year-old man for intoxicated driving on West 17th Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues Nov. 19 at 6:30 a.m. Police said that the suspect was involved in a car accident on West 17th Street and he tried to leave the scene, but the other driver involved kept him at the scene until police arrived. The 45-year-old reportedly had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and was unsteady on his feet, refused a Breathalyzer and was arrested.
