bouncer punched, Woman arrestedPolice arrested a 41-year-old woman for assault in front of the PH-D Rooftop at 355 West 16th Street Friday, September 8 around 1 a.m. Police said that a bouncer at the club got into an argument with the suspect, which led to a physical altercation and the suspect reportedly punched the bouncer in the face. The suspect reported that she felt harassed during the incident and that when she was thrown out of the club, the bouncers were removing her in a rough manner. She told police that she thought the encounter was unprovoked.
Bouncer harassedA 37-year-old bouncer for Electric Room at 357 West 16th Street told police that he was harassed in front of the club Saturday, September 9 at 2:50 a.m. Police said that the 35-year-old suspect was being thrown out of the club when she began arguing with the victim. Police said that at one point in the fight, she slapped the bouncer in the face. No injuries were reported.
Senior reports threatA 66-year-old man reported that he was threatened by a street vendor in front of 401 West 14th Street near Ninth Avenue Saturday, September 9 at 11:55 p.m. He told police that the vendor threatened him verbally, saying, “I will cut your throat,” causing the victim to be fearful for his safety.
Phones stolenA 28-year-old man reported that his phone was stolen from a video booth inside the store at 165 Eighth Avenue Friday, September 8 just after 9 a.m. He told police that he forgot his phone in the booth when a store employee asked him to leave around 4:15 a.m. He said that when he returned to the store later to retrieve the phone, an unknown person went into the booth and took the device.
That night a 23-year-old woman reported that her iPhone 7 was stolen when she left it inside the bathroom at Megu inside 355 West 16th Street/ Police said that she went inside the single-occupancy bathroom about 11 p.m. and forgot her phone inside but when she returned five minutes later, the phone was gone. She told police that she was able to track it and it was last located at Frederick Douglas Boulevard and 124th Street.
Man busted for stealing winePolice arrested a man for petit larceny inside Philippe Liquors at 312 West 23rd Street Thursday, September 7 at 7:40 p.m. The store manager told police that the suspect took a $15 bottle of wine from the store and attempted to leave without paying.
Laptop stolenA 39-year-old man reported that his laptop was stolen while he was inside the Starbucks at 300 West 23rd Street Friday, September 8 at 10 p.m. He told police that he was inside the cafe and left the computer at the counter for an undetermined amount of time. The machine was gone when he returned to the counter to retrieve it.
