Senior assaulted A 72-year-old man was assaulted at the northeast corner of 10th Avenue and West 42nd Street Saturday at 2:30 a.m., police said. The victim said that he was out walking his dog and he saw a person lying on the ground. When he went to check on the person on the ground, another unknown man approached him and punched him in the face, saying, “I’m going to take care of you and your dog.” The suspect fled and no arrests have been made.

Bouncer assaulted at nightclubPolice arrested a 25-year-old man for assault in front of XL Nightclub at 512 West 42nd St. early Saturday morning. A bouncer at a nearby club told police that he got into an argument with the suspect because he wouldn’t let the suspect inside the lounge. The man became belligerent and when the bouncer approached him, the suspect picked up an orange traffic cone and threw it at him. The cone missed but it hit a nearby minivan, causing damage to the fender. When the bouncer went to approach him again, the suspect punched him in the nose.

Man robbed in Sex ShopA 53-year-old man reported that he was robbed while in a peep show in the Rainbow Station at 203 Eighth Ave. Sunday at 12:30 a.m. He told police that he was in the peep show in a private room when an unknown man took his Fitbit from his arm. The victim ran to make a 911 call about the theft but he said that the suspect fled north on Eighth Avenue in a grey sedan. No arrests have been made.

Phone stolen at nightclubA 22-year-old woman reported that her phone was stolen while she was at the No. 8 nightclub at 357 West 16th St. Saturday around 1:30 a.m. She said that she noticed later in the night that her cellphone had been removed from her bag. Her parents called her and said that the suspect had called them asking the victim to call him back. When she called him back, he kept asking for her phone’s passcode and he hung up on her when she refused. No arrests have been made.

Trespasser busted on West 24thPolice arrested a 33-year-old man for criminal trespassing inside 321 West 24th St. Saturday at 10 a.m. Police said that the man was hanging out on the 20th floor of the building and when he was stopped by security, he said he was visiting a friend in one of the building’s apartments. When security brought him to the apartment and knocked on the door, no one answered and no one responded to a call inside the apartment. Police said that the suspect had also been found in the same building on a prior date and had been told by security not to return.
