Bag stolen at Porch Light BarA 54-year-old woman told police that her purse was stolen while she was inside the Porch Light Bar at 271 11th Ave. early on Friday, Oct. 30. She told police that she left her bag about two feet away from her and didn’t leave it unattended for a long period of time, but when she reached for it as she was leaving, it was missing.

Cash stolen at Out HotelA 41-year-old woman reported that she had cash stolen from her hotel room at Out Hotel inside 510 West 42nd Street Friday, Nov. 30. She told police that she was sleeping in the hotel room when a knock on the door woke her up. She said that she thought the person at the door was a maintenance worker because she had requested that the television be fixed, but when the man left the room she noticed that $415 was missing from on top of the desk where she had left it.

No arrests in hit-and-runA 27-year-old man reported that he was involved in a car accident with another driver who fled the scene at 10th Avenue and West 31st Street Oct. 30 at 2:25 p.m. The victim said that the other driver was driving a black box truck and before he fled, told the victim, “I don’t give a sh—about the accident, call the police.” No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

Cab driver’s phone stolenA 22-year-old cab driver reported that his phone was stolen from his cab opposite 410 West 25th St. early morning. He told police that while he was driving, his phone fell under his seat and slid to the back seat where a woman was a passenger in the cab. He claimed that the passenger picked up the phone, paid her fare and left the cab with his phone.

Theft from Eighth Avenue apartmentA 25-year-old man reported that his laptop, phone and credit cards were stolen from his apartment at 112 Eighth Ave. sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. last Saturday. The victim told police that he left Flight 151 on Eighth Avenue with two women and went to his apartment. He said that the women were at his apartment for less than two hours and he didn’t notice until 3 p.m. that day that the items were missing from his apartment.

Man hit by taxi on West 42nd StreetA 23-year-old man reported that his was hit by a taxi while he was standing in the crosswalk at the northeast corner of 11th Avenue and West 42nd Street Friday, Oct. 30 shortly after 6 a.m. He said that he was standing in the street while waiting for the light to change when the cab hit him and fled on West 42nd Street west towards 12th Avenue, causing an injury to his left foot. Police said that the victim was removed to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment of the injury to his foot. No arrests have been made.

Woman scammed with promise of job with KnicksA 33-year-old West 23rd Street resident told police Friday, Nov. 30 that she was conned out $1,500 by a man who had promised her a job as a personal assistant for the New York Knicks. The victim told police that the man had told her she could make $4,000 a week.
