Teenager MuggedA 16-year-old was set upon by three, including one who threatened him with a kitchen knife, on Halloween morning on West 91st Street between Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues, police said. The man with the knife, which was on his waistband, told the youth, “run your pockets,” and then put the 16-year-old in a headlock and forced him to the ground. Another man then punched him twice in the face and while the victim was on the ground the first took the victim’s Gucci belt and took his cellphone. The victim declined medical attention at the scene while police searched the neighborhood but couldn’t find the three muggers.

Man assaulted on Central Park West A 39-year-old man was beaten unconscious near the B/C subway steps on the northwest corner of Central Park West and 88th Street on the early morning of Nov. 1, police said. Surveillance camera footage showed a man in a dark hoodie kicking the victim down the stairs after he had tried to slam him with a garbage can. The incident happened about 3 a.m. The victim was taken to Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital’s intensive care unit for intracranial bleeding and fractures to his face, and was held under sedation, according to the police account. There was no update on his condition or the investigation.

Teenager assaulted by 10 on BroadwayA 17-year-old was slammed on the head and cut by one of 10 men who set upoing him on the afternoon of October 30, police said. The teen had his cellphone taken after he was knocked to the ground and kicked several times near the corner of 96th Street shortly after 3:05 p.m., police said. There was no information on what might have led to the assault or about the assailants themselves.

Woman thrown to the ground A 30-year-old woman was thrown to the ground by a man near her West 93rd Street residence when she declined to give him money early on the morning of Monday, October 30, police said. The man, who was not described, had initially asked the woman for directions. He then followed her to her apartment building, between West End Avenue and Riverside Drive, where he knocked her down and took her sunglasses from her bag, according to the police account.

Brothers in altercationAt 2:58 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1, a 24-year-old man got into a verbal argument with his brother at 317 West 99th Street. The situation escalated, and the 24-year-old’s brother grabbed a broomstick and struck him in the elbow, cutting him. The victim was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment and later told police that his brother had violated an order of protection. Police were looking for the brother.
