Woman busted for drugs Police arrested a 20-year-old woman for criminal possession of a controlled substance opposite 356 West 18th Street Jan. 27 at 2:44 a.m. Police said that the suspect was observed with a quantity of drugs in public view.

Theft from Uber An Uber driver reported that items were stolen from his car by a passenger after he dropped the customer off at the northeast corner of 11th Avenue and West 28th Street Jan. 25 at 3 a.m. He told police that the items included apparel from Polo Ralph Lauren valued at $450 as well as his gloves and keys.

Phone theft at CrunchA man reported that his phone was stolen while he was working out in the Crunch Gym at 220 West 19th St. Jan. 27 at about 8:30 a.m. He told police that he went into the locker room and put his phone down on the bench while he was changing. The phone was missing about 10 minutes later. The Find My iPhone app located his phone in the Bronx later that day.

Arrest in assaultA 54-year-old man was arrested for assaulting an employee in the Gotham Comedy Club at 208 West 23rd St. Jan. 28 at 7:16 p.m. Police said that the suspect scratched the employee’s neck during an argument, although it was unclear why the argument started.

Drunk driving arrestPolice arrested a 43-year-old man for intoxicated driving after he rear-ended a parked police vehicle on West 23rd Street on Jan. 28. The suspect hit the cruiser shortly before 9 p.m. When police approached the suspect, he had glassy and watery eyes, a strong smell of alcohol on his breath and was unsteady on his feet. He was brought to the precinct and blew a .019 on a Breathalyzer.

Man busted for knife Police arrested a 28-year-old man for criminal possession of a weapon at the northeast corner of West 31st Street and Dyer Avenue Jan. 29 at 2:40 a.m. Police said that the suspect was in possession of a gravity knife, and he has a prior conviction in Pennsylvania.

ID theft of Chelsea seniorA 71-year-old resident of West 25th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues reported Jan. 26 at 8 p.m. that her identity was stolen. She told police that she received a letter claiming that she owed almost $800 on four Verizon cell phone lines, but she only has an account with AT&T. Verizon said that the cell phone lines had been opened using the victim’s social security number.
