Man kicks in door at Gourmet Deli & PizzaA man kicked in a deli’s glass door following a dispute about the price of a cookie, police said. An employee of Gourmet Deli & Pizza on Eighth Avenue said a man and the store manager argued about the price of the baked good after the man took two cookies but only paid for one on Sunday. The man left and then kicked the glass door, causing it to shatter and causing over $250 in damage. Police said that the suspect is known to have a white pet rat.

Men arrested for gun, knives after spooking taxi driverPolice arrested two men, ages 25 and 38, for criminal possession of a weapon at the southwest corner of 10th Avenue and West 28th Street Sunday, Nov. 8 at 3:30 a.m. A taxi driver told police that he stopped at the corner of West 17th Street and 10th Avenue on a hail to pick up two men who said they wanted a ride to Connecticut. They got into the cab and the driver headed north on 10th Avenue towards West 28th Street. The driver said that while he was driving, he saw that both men were in possession of firearms so he pulled the taxi over and told them to get out of his vehicle. The driver then called 911 and after police searched the area, both men were arrested at West 28th Street. Police said that a firearm was recovered in addition to two knives.

Man jostled, pickpocketed on Eighth AvenueA 28-year-old man reported that his wallet was stolen while he was in front of 300 Eighth Ave. Friday, Nov. 6 at 4:10 p.m. He told police that a man bumped into him while he was walking on Eighth Avenue, which led him to believe that the man had removed his wallet, since he had the wallet when he purchased items at Chelsea Market. He said that he noticed the man at that point and was bumped into around West 26th Street and Eighth Avenue. Police said that cameras spotted a man matching the victim’s description walking north on Eighth Avenue near the location but no arrests have been made.

Man assaulted at Ninth and West 31stA 59-year-old man reported that he was assaulted at the northwest corner of Ninth Avenue and West 31st Street on Friday, Nov. 6 at 2:30 p.m. He told police that an unknown man pushed him to the ground, and that he hurt his right hip and leg. He was taken to the Lenox Hill Healthplex for treatment. He told police that he thought the man who pushed him might be homeless. No arrests have been made.

Bike stolen on West 42nd StreetA 49-year-old woman reported Saturday, Nov. 7 around 6:30 p.m. that her bike was stolen after she parked it opposite 450 West 42nd St. She told police that she had parked it at a bike rack around 3 p.m. on the Friday prior and when she returned at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, the bike was missing. The entire rack her bike had been chained to was missing was well. She told police that her bike was worth $700.

Woman possible drugged at West 27th and 11thA 36-year-old woman reported that she felt like she had been drugged after going to a bar near an art show around West 27th Street and 11th Avenue Thursday, Nov. 5. She told police the following day that she met a man at the art show and went to a bar with him afterwards. While she was at the bar, she told police that she felt like someone had put eye drops in her drink and she felt ill. She said that she had no other information about the person that she met and she refused medical attention.
