Man attacked A 34-year-old man reported that he was assaulted outside a parking garage at the northeast corner of Eighth Avenue and West 16th Street Thursday, April 20, at 4:55 p.m. He told police that he was walking south on the east side of Eighth Avenue when an unknown person began screaming and acting irate. The suspect then ran towards the victim and punched him in the ear, knocking him over and cutting him. The assailant scrambled into the 14th Street/8th Avenue A/C/E subway station.

Woman harassed on West 23rdA 19-year-old woman reported that she was harassed while walking back to work on West 23rd Street at Eighth Avenue Friday, April 21, at 3:40 p.m. She told police that she got into an argument with the man, who she didn’t know, and who threatened to spit on her and sexually assault her when she left work for the day. She said that he followed her along the sidewalk then fled on a red bicycle. No arrests have been made.

Dream Hotel employee arrestedPolice arrested a 29-year-old employee of the Dream Hotel at 355 West 16th St. Saturday, April 22, at 5:05 a.m. Police said that staff at the hotel noticed some items were missing from the bar when the suspect was leaving work after his shift and when his bag was searched, police found that he was in possession of two steaks, a case of tomatoes, avocados, limes, a bottle of Jameson, a bottle of Johnnie Walker Black and bottles of water.

assault at adult entertainment storePolice arrested a 28-year-old man for assault inside Rainbow Station video store at 203 Eighth Ave. Friday, April 21, at 3 a.m. The victim told police that he got into an argument with the man while inside the store shopping. The man reportedly became aggressive and bit the victim on his left cheek, cutting him.

Theft from carA 28-year-old man reported that items were stolen from his car while it was parked at the northeast corner of Ninth Avenue and West 21st Street from Sunday, April 16, through the next week. The victim told police that he left his car in the spot during the week and when he went to retrieve it, he noticed that it was in disarray and his suitcase was missing, although there was no forced entry into the vehicle.

D.C. resident arrested for potPolice arrested a 19-year-old Washington, D.C., resident for the criminal sale of marijuana Sunday, April 21, at 3:40 a.m. on the northeast corner of 10th Avenue and West 18th Street. Police said that the teen was attempting to sell a bag of marijuana to another person who wasn’t arrested, and he was reportedly in possession of a substantial amount of marijuana packaged for sale.
