3 arrested for assaultPolice arrested three men on assault charges following an altercation with an 18-year-old man at the northeast corner of Eighth Avenue and West 25th Street Friday, July 14, at 10:45 p.m. The teen told police that he was walking south on Eighth Avenue when the men began arguing with him. The argument escalated into a physical fight in which the victim received cuts on his back and arm, as well as wounds to his finger and lip. No further information was available about what prompted the dispute.

Several arrested for assaults Multiple people were arrested for assaults in separate incidents at The Park bar at 118 10th Avenue early on July 15.

Police arrested a 29-year-old man after he allegedly punched a 28-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman at 1:10 a.m. A 28-year-old man was arrested later at 2:30 a.m. when he reportedly assaulted an employee at the bar. The employee told police that the man was sitting on the second floor of the bar when he turned around and punched him in the face.

Cigarettes stolen from 7-ElevenA 19-year-old man stole multiple packs of cigarettes from the 7-Eleven inside 246 West 23rd Street Friday, July 14, at 12:54 a.m. Police said that the man jumped over the counter and removed 21 packs of Newport cigarettes from behind the register. An employee at the store told police that the cigarettes were valued at $279. No arrests have been made.

Man arrested for random attackPolice arrested a 24-year-old man for assault inside the Gilded Lily at 408 West 15th Street on Saturday, July 15, at 1:40 a.m. The victim said that he was waiting to get his bill at the bar when the suspect shoved him then punched him in the back of head. Police said that the suspect then grabbed the victim’s glasses and threw them to the ground, breaking them. No further information was available on what precipitated the attack.

Phone stolen A 58-year-old Citibank security guard reported that her phone was stolen while she was inside the Citibank at 401 West 42nd Street Thursday, July 13, at 3:30 p.m. She told police that she put the phone on a charger in the reception area behind the desk and walked away to watch the ATM area. She told police the phone was missing when she returned to the desk.

Cellphone stolen A man told police that his phone was stolen while he was waiting for the C train at the 23rd Street station Friday, July 14, at 5 p.m. He told police that he was sitting on a bench in the station while waiting for the train and he put his Samsung Note down next to him. He said that he looked away for a minute and when he looked back, the phone was missing.
