Man dragged by cab A 29-year-old man reported that he was injured by a taxi driver after attempting to hail a cab in front of 408 West 15th St. Dec. 2 at 1:50 a.m. He told police that a yellow cab had stopped to pick him up and when he opened the door to get in, the cab pulled away, dragging him about 25 feet. The driver left the scene before police arrived.

Cab driver assaulted A 30-year-old cab driver reported that a passenger assaulted him inside his cab Dec. 2 at 8:15 a.m. at the northeast corner of Eighth Avenue and West 15th Street. The driver told police that he had locked the passenger inside the car because the man had refused to pay his cab fare and the suspect became aggressive, hitting the driver in the face. The suspect fled when the driver let him out of the car and no arrests have been made.

Fight outside Tao LoungePolice arrested a 27-year-old man for assault in front of the Maritime Hotel at 363 West 16th St. Dec. 3 at 4:10 a.m. Police said that the suspect and the victim, who didn’t know each other, got into an argument outside the nearby Tao Lounge on Ninth Avenue that led to the suspect punching a 25-year-old man in the face. The assault caused a swollen and bloody lip but the victim refused medical assistance at the scene.

Woman arrested ON WEAPONS CHARGEPolice arrested a 25-year-old woman for criminal possession of a weapon in front of 539 Ninth Avenue Dec. 3 at 4:12 a.m. Police said that the suspect was waving around an electronic stun gun while activating it, and also harassed a 29-year-old man by slapping him.

Wallet stolenA 23-year-old woman reported that her wallet was stolen while she was at the Electric Room inside 355 West 16th St. just after midnight on November 8. She told police that she was at the bar and turned away from her bag on the couch and when she went back to retrieve it, noticed that the wallet had been taken. She reported the incident last Thursday.

Bike stolen A 44-year-old man reported that his bike was stolen while he was moving into a new apartment at 420 West 42nd St. Dec. 2 at 3 p.m. He told police that he left the bike near an elevator in the lobby when a man came in and walked out with it. No arrests have been made.

Windshield busted A 24-year-old man reported that his windshield was broken while his car was parked in front of 419 West 19th St. Dec. 2 between 5 and 6 p.m. The victim told police that he left the car in the spot for about an hour and when he returned, the rear windshield had been broken. He told police that the damage was valued at about $500.

Woman arrested for door damagePolice arrested a 20-year-old man for criminal mischief inside 264 10th Ave. Dec. 4 at 10:48 a.m. Police said that the suspect caused damage to her door with a metal chair by banging on it multiple times.
