Three arrested for damage at dinerPolice arrested three women for causing damage inside the Chelsea Square Diner at 368 West 23rd St. Sunday at 4:30 a.m. The diner’s owner told police that two 25-year-old women and a 31-year-old woman we fighting inside the restaurant and ultimately broke the diner’s front window, along with flower vases and glasses inside the business. One of the younger women also threw a candle in a glass jar at a man who tried to break up the fight. She was charged with assault, and all three were charged with criminal mischief. The diner’s owner told police that damage exceeded $1,000.
Drunk drivING arrestPolice arrested a woman for drunk driving in front of 312 11th Avenue on Thursday, March 23 at 2 a.m. Police said that the suspect was stopped because she was driving the wrong way against traffic and she had a strong odor of alcohol on her breath. When she got out of the car, she was unsteady on her feet and had bloodshot, glassy eyes. Police said that she blew 2.123 on an Intoxilyzer and when she was searched, police found a small bag of alleged marijuana on the passenger’s seat of her car.
Man busted for drugs Police arrested a 31-year-old man for possession of a controlled substance Saturday, April 8, at 4 p.m. in front of 511 West 35th St. after he was caught urinating in public. Police said that the suspect was urinating on the sidewalk and when police approached him, he tried to run. When officers caught up with him, he reportedly flailed his arms to prevent being handcuffed and when he was searched, police found that he was in possession of alleged crack cocaine.
Side swipe on 11th AvenueA 34-year-old man reported that his car was sideswiped by a truck while he was driving on 11th Avenue between West 38th and 39th Streets ON Thursday, April 6, at 6:25 p.m. He told police that the green Mack truck hit his car and left the scene.
Dine-and-ditch arrestPolice arrested a 53-year-old man for attempting to skip out on an $89.33 bar tab at Artichoke Pizza at 4:55 a.m. Saturday, April 8.
