Robbery on West 15th StreetA 23-year-old woman reported that she was mugged while walking at the northeast corner of Eighth Avenue and West 15th Street in the early morning of June 28. She told police that she was walking on West 15th Street towards Eighth shortly after 1 a.m. when a man approached her from behind, pushed her and then grabbed her bag. The man then fled east on West 16th Street on foot. She said that she wouldn’t be able to recognize the man. Her bag contained her keys as well as her wallet with credit cards, debit cards and her state ID.

Man arrested for attempted beer theftPolice arrested a 43-year-old man for petit larceny inside the CVS at 500 West 42nd St. last June 26 at 2 p.m. An employee at the store said that the man removed a case of Modelo beer and a case of Corona beer from the shelf and attempted to leave without paying.

Multiple bikes stolenA 51-year-old man told police that his bike was stolen after he parked it in front of the Kharin Deli at 184 Seventh Ave. on June 24 at 2 p.m. He said that he went inside the deli to buy a couple small things and didn’t lock the bike, and when he returned, the bike was gone. Later that day, a 26-year-old man reported that his own bike was stolen after he locked it to a bike rack inside Chelsea Piers at Pier 59 at 7 p.m. He told police that he returned to the rack around 9:20 p.m. and found that the lock had been cut and the bike had been removed.

Two days later, a man reported his bike stolen in front of 450 West 15th St. sometime after 1:45 p.m. Hi lock had been clipped and the bike stolen when he returned around 2:45 p.m.

Burglary on West 22nd StreetA 46-year-old resident of 322 West 22nd St. told police that his apartment was broken into at some point between June 24 at 10:30 p.m. and June 25 at 6:30 a.m. He said that he went to sleep in the evening and was “99 percent sure” that he locked his doors, but when he woke up, he found his patio door wide open and his laptop, bass guitar and phone charger had been stolen.

Wallet stolen from gym at Pier 60A 32-year-old man reported that his wallet was stolen while he was inside the gym at Pier 60 on the southwest corner of 12th Avenue and West 22nd Street June 25 at 10:30 p.m. He told police that he had left his wallet, containing a debit card, credit card, driver’s license and $40 in cash, as well as his iPhone, in the pocket of his shorts inside an unlocked gym locker while he went to shower. He said that when he returned from the shower, the cell phone and wallet had been removed from the shorts.

Bag stolenA 24-year-old man reported that his bag was stolen while he was inside the Panera at 33 Seventh Ave. on June 26 at 7 p.m. He told police that he sat down at the restaurant to eat and put his bag down on the floor. He said that he got up from the table to speak with the manager and when he returned about an hour later, he noticed that the bag was gone. Video surveillance shows an unknown person picking up the bag and walking away. The victim said that the bag contained a tablet, running shoes, a laptop and a hat.

Wallet stolenA 46-year-old woman reported that her wallet was stolen from her bag while she was inside the Tao nightclub at 369 West 16th St. on the evening of June 25 at 10 p.m. She told police that an unknown person reached into her bag and removed her wallet while she had the bag next to her on the couch.
