REFUSED RESTROOM, MAN damageS RESTAURANT DOORAn employee of Hot Sichuan at 130 Ninth Ave. reported that a man damaged the front door of the restaurant Friday, March 24. The worker told police that an unknown man purposely kicked the door, causing over $250 in damages, at about 3:20 p.m. The suspect came into the restaurant wanting to use the restroom and when the employee told him that it was for customers only, the suspect kicked the door as he left.

MEN HARASS Senior TENANTA 75-year-old Chelsea resident reported that she was harassed inside her apartment Sunday, March 19. The senior told police that she was sleeping at her apartment in a building on West 24th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues when she heard loud knocking on her door about 7 a.m. She said that she looked through the peephole and did not recognize any of the men who were standing in the hall, and she was alarmed because they called to her by name. She said that they left after she threatened to call security. She told police that she couldn’t understand much of what the men were saying because they had thick accents but she was alarmed because of the loud pounding on her door and the fact that she didn’t know them. She reported the incident to police March 24.

‘fRIEND’ ASSAULTS Elderly man Police arrested a 64-year-old man for assaulting an 80-year-old man in front of the Western Beef at 431 West 16th St. Friday, March 24 at 11:15 a.m. The victim said that he was walking out of the supermarket when the suspect, who is a friend, approached him and asked if he was still mad at him. The victim said he told his friend he wasn’t mad at him, after which the suspect punched the victim in the face. The victim had a bruise over his right eye as a result of the attack but refused medical attention, police said.

Trespass arrest at Fulton HousesPolice arrested a 23-year-old man for trespassing on the roof of the Fulton Houses at 418 West 17th Street Friday, March 24. Police said that the suspect, who lives in the Bronx, was on the rooftop landing of the building about noon.

Package stolenA 34-year-old man reported that a package was stolen from his building on West 17th Street at the corner of 10th Avenue sometime between February 23 and March 17. He told police that he was away for business and although the package was reportedly delivered to his building while he was away, it was missing. The victim checked with his neighbors and he said that none of them received the package for him. He told police that the package contained vitamins and oils worth more than $100.
