assault arrest Police arrested a 32-year-old man for assault inside Tao Nightclub at 369 West 16th Street Sunday, November 12, at 2:29 a.m. The man’s alleged victim, a 32-year-old male, told police that the man punched him in the left eye, cutting his face. He was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital for observation. No further information was available about what caused the dispute but police said the two men did not know each other.

Driver hit by dump truckA 31-year-old man reported that while he was driving north on 12th Avenue at West 26th Street Friday, November 10, at 11:50 a.m., he was hit by a black dump truck with a New Jersey license plate on his driver’s side rear door. He told police that the collision pushed his car into a parked sanitation truck. The victim said that he then went after the truck to get the license plate and when he returned, the sanitation truck had left the scene.

Women arrested for trespassingPolice arrested two 19-year-old women and a 20-year-old woman for trespassing inside public housing at 420 West 19th Saturday, November 11, at 8:55 p.m. While police were patrolling inside the building, they found the three women on the 18th floor balcony and determined that none of them were residents in the building and did not know anyone who lived in the building. Police said that one of the women had an unlit joint in her hand and also had a small bag of marijuana in her purse.

Man busted for breaking windowPolice arrested a man for criminal mischief in front of Cavallo’s Pizzeria at 324 Seventh Avenue Sunday, November 12, at 8:30 p.m. Police said that the man was walking on the street when he punched a window at the front of the restaurant.

resident’s identity stolenA 36-year-old resident of 330 Eighth Avenue reported Friday, November 10, that her identity was stolen at the end of October. She told police that an unknown person opened a credit card in her name and charges of approximately $800 were made on the Banana Republic card without her authority. No arrests have been made.
