Boulevard of Broken LocksAt 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, a 70-year-old man locked up his Cannondale bicycle outside 180 Riverside Boulevard. When he returned for his tony two-wheeler sometime later it was missing. The Cannondale is valued at $1,800.
Le Pain PainA young woman learned the hard way to be more attentive to her belongings. At 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 16, a 24-year-old woman left her bag unattended while she was in Le Pain Quotidien at 494 Amsterdam Ave. It was gone when she next looked for it. She lost credit cards and $508.
Stepped OutThings took a turn for the worse for a dance enthusiast. At noon on Saturday, April 15, a woman was attending a dance class inside the Steps on Broadway studio at 2121 Broadway when someone took her bag containing an iPhone 6 and a Mini iPad with a total value of $1,500.
LOFTy AmbitionsWith the change of seasons, clothing seems to be the hot category for shoplifters at the moment. At 3 p.m. on Friday, April 14, a man went into the LOFT store at 2015 Broadway and made off with clothing valued at $1,500.
SportswereOne shoplifter exercised her larcenous skills at a local sportswear boutique. At 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, a woman entered the Athleta store at 216 Columbus Ave. and took off with sportswear valued at $1,300.
