77 White Street, the building that hosted the infamous Mudd Club from the late 1970s through the early 1990s, is now home to luxury lofts. Belying its punk rock, counter-culture heritage, one such loft is currently listed for sale at $2,399,000. The Mudd Club was a home for artists such as the Talking Heads, Keith Haring, Lou Reed, and many more members of the punk and no-wave scene. The neighborhood has undergone quite a change since those days! Now, instead of offering a glimpse into the underground punk rock and art scene, the location boasts that a "sliding bookshelf hides the spacious laundry room." Even punk rockers need to grow up and do laundry it seems. [[Corcoran]]
