A man attempted to rob a Capital One bank at 4:27 p.m., Feb. 4. Cops said the man walked into the branch, at 175 W. 72nd St. and Amsterdam Avenue, and approached a teller. He passed her a handwritten note five sentences long that read, ?Give me all your fifty and hundred dollar bills.? He ended the message courteously, with, ?I have a gun. Thank you kindly.? The teller returned the note and triggered the alarm. The man fled empty handed.
