Good For Nothing Subway Elevators

Bad news for those who rely on the city’s subway elevators: According to the Disable Riders Coalition, [yesterday was the third day in a row that the number of stations with at least one elevator out of commission reached double digits]. As if getting in and out of the subway weren't bad enough. A TA spokesman told the Daily News that reasons why elevators may be out of service include construction, maintenance or vandalism.
