Happy Internet Week New York

| 21 Nov 2014 | 10:03

Internet Week 2012 (#IWNY) kicked off yesterday morning and boy is it fun! Who doesn't love hanging out with a ton of nerds and nerd enthusiasts? Trick question! There's nobody here but us, and we're milling around the #IWNY SOHO epicenter in the millions (of bytes of bandwidth usage. Seriously. The Internet speed here is shittier than a joke about the irony of slow Internet at Internet Week). Still though, for the next six days we'll be hanging out and talking about the future. Everything from the future of publishing, to who thinks they're the next Instagram, to how companies can use data to make money off of each other and give us consumers everything we want...for FREE!* Why should you care about #IWNY? Well it seems that New York City is on the verge of becoming the new capital of Tech Startups in the USA. That means more jobs, more money, and a whole lot of awesome young companies bragging about how many pinball machines they've got in their sweet open loft offices! Also we're talking about the Future of Stuff here, people. Today, tomorrow comes today. A bunch of panels, events, and classes are open to the public as well. Check out the [schedule](https://internetweekny.com/schedule/all#/?filters=on) to see if any catch your eye, and if they require RSVP.
