HIT AND RUN ON EAST SIDE

By [Max A. Goldstein] An 85-year-old man died after a July 29 hit and run on the Upper East Side. The elderly man was crossing First Avenue at East 84th Street around 5 p.m., when a gold Nissan Maxima smacked into him. The driver of the Nissan fled the scene, according to police. The victim was rushed to Cornell Hospital in critical condition, and succumbed to his injuries Sunday, Aug. 1. The police did not report any updates on the Nissan Maxima.
