| 11 Nov 2014 | 02:09

State Sen. Liz Krueger did not have to practice, practice, practice to get to Carnegie Hall. Instead, she hosted a two-part forum on attracting international tourists to New York"s cultural scene. The first panel, on Oct. 14, included representatives from the Empire State Development Corporation; NYC & Company, the city"s official tourism organization; and the state"s Council on the Arts. The second forum is slated to feature members of the arts community, including the New York Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Panel discussions will focus on various strategies to reach out to the almost 9 million international visitors that came to the city last year's and the millions of New Yorkers taking â??staycations to save some money.
