Laptop Lifted from Window

a laptop was stolen on aug. 26 from the first-floor apartment of a building at west 74th street and amsterdam avenue. police said that around 12:30 p.m., the laptop owner, a 40-year-old man, saw visible damage to the gate covering the window. cops said the window had been opened from the outside with a tool.
