Twenty-two students from Léman Manhattan Preparatory School participated in this year's lighting of the New York Stock Exchange Tree Lighting, one of the most anticipated holiday events in Lower Manhattan.

The Léman Manhattan Singers, comprised of third through fifth graders and conducted by Ryan John, serenaded the crowd of 200 with a rendition of "Silent Night." The annual tradition, which extended throughout Broad Street between Wall Street and Exchange Place, also included a performance by the cast of "Bayside! The Musical!"

This year's tree, a 62' high, 37' wide Blue Spruce, hails from Bury, Quebec. Situated in front of the NYSE façade, the tree is adorned with more than 100 strands of multi-colored lights, 500 multi-colored balls and a 6' star on top, all supported on an 8' x 10' base fashioned as a gold box.
