Community Satisfaction: How Does Downtown Measure Up?

What does downtown Manhattan do better than anywhere else in the city? Where could it use some improvement? The Citizens Budget Commission has some data on what your neighbors think.
The commission recently released the results of a neighborhood survey measuring residents' satisfaction with quality of life and city services at the community district level. The results are based on the responses of 9,800 New Yorkers collected by the National Research Center in January 2017. Published here are select results of the survey for Community District 1, including broad quality of life indicators and categories in which downtowners gave their neighborhood particularly high or particularly low marks.
