Police seek two in assault

    The police are looking for two men in connection with an assault inside a store near Eighth Avenue and 58th Street Monday night.

    Police said that two Asian males in their 20s entered the building about 9:40 p.m. and began arguing with two other men in an incident that was captured at least in part by surveillance video.

    The dispute escalated and one of the men sought by police drew and then tried to fire a silver firearm. The gun did not fire but the other man wanted by police cut one of the victims in the arm.

    The man brandishing the gun was further described as having black hair and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark jacket, white T-shirt, dark pants and dark shoes.

    The man with the knife was said to be about 5 feet, 10 inches, with black hair and wearing a blue hooded jacket with tan pants and sneakers.

    The injured man victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment in a car. His condition was not released.
