A man was robbed after buying lottery tickets. At 2 PM on Tuesday, July 23, a 77-year-old man had just bought lottery tickets at a kiosk on the northeast corner of Second Avenue and 94th Street when he felt someone reach into his pants pocket from behind. The man lost his balance and fell to the ground. One of two robbers tried to help the old man up, while the other continued to go through his pockets. Both thieves then took off in an unknown direction. Their haul: eight Lotto tickets worth $11, plus $30 cash. The senior citizen said he could not identify the thieves.
