MALONEY HOSTS COLLEGE WORKSHOP

Rep. Carolyn Maloney and Sallie Mae Fund, a nonprofit college-access organization, are holding a workshop on paying for college. The 90-minute event aims to educate students and families on the application process for grants, scholarships and financial aid. High school students in their junior and senior years can enter a context to win a $500 scholarship, courtesy of the Sallie Mae Fund. The workshop will take place on Oct. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, 331 E. 70th St.
