upper west side residents called on the city council to stop fordham university expansion of the lincoln center campus. "fordham's plan will cause tremendous harm to local residents' quality of life and irreparable damage to the future of the neighborhood, and we intend to use every option available to stop this from happening," said michael groll, member of fordham neighbors united, an organization critical of the plan, in a statement. the land use committee will evaluate the project and a full council vote will likely occur on june 10. in the meantime, the organization also requested that the council members demand the reductions in size and scale of the development, which covers the area surrounded by west 60th and 62nd streets between columbus and amsterdam avenues.
