NEW SCHOOL PLANS UNVEILED

Schools Chancellor Joel Klein unveiled the architectural plans for two new school buildings on East 57th Street. The buildings, for which private investors will pay an estimated $200 million, will house P.S. 59 and the High School of Art and Design. P.S. 59"s temporary site, on East 63rd Street, was also unveiled as the city"s first â??green school building. When P.S. 59 moves into its new East 57th Street location, 500 school seats will become available in District 2. --Dan Rivoli
