NONPROFITS GET GRANT

The Manhattan Chamber of Commerce is giving nearly $125,000 to 37 Upper East Side nonprofits. The money was raised through the organization"s Second and Third avenue street fairs and sales of raffle tickets. Together, the chamber raked in $124,875, thanks to 18 institutions that participated in the raffle. The money will be given to a variety of nonprofits that provide service to the homeless, physical education and tutoring for children, and to local schools.
