Patriotic Dyslexia

A patriotic attempt to spruce up the first steel column of the Freedom Tower to be raised failed. An American flag [had to be removed] Wednesday because it was backwards. Apparently The Associated Press and other media noticed that the stars were on the wrong side, prompting the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to take it down. Federal flag code prohibits such distortion of the flag. It seems construction workers got confused: when the flag was lying on the ground, it was facing the right way, but when they hung it up it got turned around. This is complicated stuff. Not to worry, come the end of this week a proper tribute to our great nation will be adhered to the column.
