Police Seek Man Suspected of Sexual Assaults on West Side

    police released a sketch of a man accused of two sexual assaults on the upper west side.

    the first attack occurred may 2, 2010 at 12:55 a.m. in a building elevator. the victim, a 30-year-old woman, told police he forcibly touched her before taking her cell phone and fleeing.there were no injuries reported.

    police believe the man struck again sept. 26, again assaulted a woman inside a building elevator at 12:40 a.m. similar to the first incident, the man forcibly touched his 24-year-old victim before taking her cell phone and fleeing. the woman was taken to bellevue hospital with minor injuries.

    both attacks happened around columbus and manhattan avenues in the west 100's, police said.
