Pool Party Madness With Man Man
The weather in NYC was perfect on Sunday for yet another of JellyNYCs Pool Parties at McCarren Pool in Brooklyn. This week it was Illinois, Dengue Fever and Man Man providing the tunes, while one dodgeball team totally dominated all day. The pool was as crowded as Ive ever seen it, with thousands of people out to soak up the sun and enjoy the beautiful weather. Spectators enjoyed game after game of dodgeball, with balls flying out towards spectators at times. One unlucky spectator had her beer explode over her and everyone near when a stray ball bounced quickly out of the dodgeball court, hitting her cup of brew. While the whole day was fun and the bands were all good, it was Man Mans crazy performance that was most memorable. While performing their raucous set, the Captain Beefheart-influenced Philly band dodged beach balls, and even a g-string worn by [this guy].
