PRESERVING WEST PARK CHURCH

| 13 Aug 2014 | 08:10

By [Allen Houston] Columbia University Preservation alumni and members of the West Park Presbyterian Church congregation will roll up their sleeves and get to work on saving the historic Upper West Side Church, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Dec. 4, at 165 W. 86th St. at Amsterdam Avenue. The church, built in 1890, was designated an historic landmark earlier this year, and the preservation community is rallying to sustain its beautiful Richardsonian Revival-style edifice. Volunteers will give the interior of the church a good cleaning and prepare it for a citywide event that it will host soon. Anyone interested in joining in can contact treasurer@preservationalumni.org.
