Serious girls on roller skates from New York City battle a squad of ladies in kneepads from Buffalo in a Brooklyn Athletic Center. Though the gawking is good, the game—all adrenaline, blood and glory—is better. It’s straightforward enough: One team’s skaters must lap the others.The spectacle is an orgy of bright color, rolling and panting.

Bottom Line: GGRD shows are like raves but with violence and on wheels. Lots of rolling though.
