March 26, Brooklyn Academy of Music, 30 Lafayette Ave. (at Ashland Pl.), Brooklyn, 718-636-4100; 5:15, $20.

There’s a lot going on in the new production of Henry Purcell’s The Fairy Queen, an adaptation from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer’s Night Dream: nudity, song, dance, spoken word. No doubt many questions will take flight in your mind as you see it, questions you should keep to yourself during the performance. Tonight, however, director William Christie breaks down the fourth wall to offer commentary to the audience and direction to the cast.

Bottom Line: For once your talking during the opera will be appreciated.
