Principal Is No Pal At P.S. 91
CBS 2 reports that the [principal of P.S. 91 in Brooklyn], where an 8-year-old girl has accused the janitor of sexual assault, has been reassigned. According to their sources, Principal Solomon Long failed to act on another possible prior sexual abuse case involving the same victim and another adult.
A few days ago, the victim told her mother that she had been raped and sodomized in the basement of the school multiple times, and that the schools custodian, [Francis Evelyn, was the attacker]. He has since been arraigned in court on multiple charges, including rape, a criminal sex act, sex abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. He lives with his wife and their daughter, and has been with the Department of Education since 1988 without incident; Evelyn has been suspended without pay.
