Rudy's Lead Shrinks
Things appear to be tightening up a bit on the Republican side of the presidential race.
A new Gallup Poll finds former Mayor Rudy Giuliani's lead over Arizona Senator John McCain has shrunk to just six points, 29-23, down from the 20-point lead Giuliani enjoyed in early April and the 14-point lead he had earlier this month.
Gallup does state that the drop in Giuliani's lead could be just a statistical anomaly, and that their next poll could shed more light onto the (possibly) sinking mayor. They also note that it is not yet clear if Giuliani's pro-choice views, which have been more out in the open over the past few weeks, have finally caught up to him among the more conservative Republican primary voter base.
The poll checked out Democrats, too, and found Hillary Clinton with a nine point lead over Barack Obama, 35-26.
